What is DatePlus for ?

     DatePlus is a software that calculates the day of the week of any date  considered  since  the reform of the Gregorian Calendar (October 15th,  1582). It offers in addition the option to consult the Saints'Days, to make  searches of saints by name, to visualize and print the calendar of the month and year, and to configure  the presentation of the weeks  (Sunday - Saturday, or Monday - Sunday). In addition we can accede  to the number  of day and week (referred to  January  1st of the  studied  year), and to the Julian day. 

        In this new version we can find out the number of existing days between two dates and add or reduce an amount defined of days taking to a date like reference. Also we will be able to consult the Biorhythm of a person and its profile of behavior according to the interpretation that makes the Chinese Astrology, Celta, Mayan, Aztec, Hindu and the traditionally well-known one like western astrology.

What is a calendar ?

         It is a system of distribution of the days of the year in months: most of  the towns they have calendars guided by stars, or the Sun or the Moon. The more   recognized calendars are the Aztec, the Chinese, the Indian, the Hebrew, the Islamic one, the Egyptian, Julian and of course the Gregorian.

     It is the adopted in the western world.  It was born of the reform introduced by the Pope Gregorio XII. The previous reform, caused by  Julio Caesar, had established  that the year had to be formed of eleven months  of 30 and 31,and February of 28. The exception to the rule occurred every four   years: February would be made up of 29 days in the called "leap years". The  logic of this calendar resided in  the supposition that the duration of the year  was of three hundred sixty five days and six hours. In fact, the duration of the year is something smaller: three hundred  and sixty five days, five hours, forty eight minutes and forty six seconds. The sum of these eleven minutes that exceeded every year reached in century XVI a total of ten days. The conciliate of Trento  took care of this subject and  put into the hands of the Pope the task of finding a solution. It was the Pope Gregorio XIII, in the year 1582, that undertook the reform of  the Julian Calendar. In order to eliminate the ten days that exceeded, they suppressed of the mentioned year of the reform (1582) and in the month of October the days between the 5 and the 14 (the day 4  went to the 15); and so that this anomaly did not return to repeat itself, it was decreed that the years of the principle of each century do not will be leap year  except in case they were multiple of four hundred (thus, for example,       year 1900 were not leap year; but  it were the  year 2000).

This program has been created considering the gregorian  reform, reason for     which their calculations applies to later dates than the 15 of October of 1582. At the moment its top of calculation is the 31 of December of 2199.

This program is shareware, reason for the one which can be used to full functionality 25 times. Past this limit the user will register DatePlus to be able to continue using it. The registration cost is of U$S 15.
